Australia, 21st December 2023 – Goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold proves she’s got what it takes to be an Amazon Flex delivery partner, teaming up with Amazon Australia to shine a light on the everyday Aussie drivers who make fast holiday deliveries possible.

Used to flexing between the goals, Mackenzie has swapped her gloves for a seat behind the wheel with an Amazon Flex delivery partner to give them some time off during the busiest delivery time of the year.

Christmas also came early for customers in Brisbane yesterday when Mackenzie took to the streets to deliver Amazon orders, shocking unsuspecting fans at their doorstep.

Back in Australia for the holidays, hero goalie Mackenzie Arnold said, “I know what it’s like to be busy in the lead-up to Christmas and I rely heavily on online deliveries when I’m travelling around the world. So, it’s a good feeling to be able to come home to not only make some of these Christmas deliveries possible, but also help out some of the legends who work as Amazon Flex drivers.”

Country Manager of Amazon Australia, Janet Menzies, says, “Many Australians will be able to place orders for select items up to as late as Friday 22nd December and have them delivered in time for the big day. That’s in a big way thanks to our Amazon Flex delivery partners who do amazing work throughout the year, especially over the busy festive period, and we’re thrilled to have had Mackenzie on board to help out our drivers - it’s safe to say she’s a natural!”

Amazon expects Prime members in Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle, Gosford, Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Bendigo, Toowoomba, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra to be able to shop select items up to Friday 22nd December to receive them in time for Christmas, with free delivery. Non-Prime customers will be able to order select items in the week leading up to it to receive them in time, or select a paid delivery option for faster delivery where available.

For Australians who are looking to earn a little extra to supplement their existing income over the holidays, they can sign up to Amazon Flex and deliver packages to customers using their own vehicle. Amazon Flex offers drivers the flexibility to be able to work when it suits them and earn extra money in their free time. Opportunities across the country vary based on region and vehicle type.
