SYDNEY, 00:01AM 16 JULY, 2024 – Amazon Australia’s longest ever Prime Day Shopping event is now live with massive savings available exclusively to Prime members. For the first time in Amazon Australia’s history, Prime members will have access to incredible deals for six entire days, with the event running from 16 July at 00:01AM AEST until 21 July 11:59PM AEST.

New deals will drop throughout the event, with savings on hundreds of thousands of products, across every category. Prime members can feel like a big deal by shopping exclusive savings on several big-name brands as well as products from Amazon Australia’s selling partners – many of which are small and medium sized Australian businesses. Deals from Japan, Germany, UK and US will also be available on Amazon.com.au through Amazon Global Store.

Much-loved names like Apple, Bonds, Bose, Breville, Dyson, LG, Meta, Miele, Phillips, Panasonic, Samsung, Salomon and Tommy Hilfiger will be discounted exclusively for Prime members, as well as an array of everyday essentials for the household including Amazon Basics range, Finish, Sorbent, NIVEA and WetOnes.

Small and medium sized local businesses will also feature in the event, including non-alcoholic cocktail brand Naked Life, and PurpleMoon Collection - a Perth based business that sells heat packs for sports recovery.

The sales event arrives at an ideal time with recent data from YouGov, commissioned by Amazon Australia, showing that many Australians are planning to buy Christmas gifts earlier than usual to find savings and distribute spending, with more than 70% of shoppers who will buy Christmas presents this year saying they would purchase them in July if substantial discounts were offered.

Arno Lenior, Director of Prime at Amazon Australia said, “We know Australians are savvy shoppers, who are finding new ways to make their money go further. Our research shows a majority of Aussies are looking to online retailers to find the best prices, with 74% saying online shopping helps them save money and find exceptional deals. This Prime Day, we’re thrilled to be giving Australians more chances to score great deals, extending the sale to six massive days of savings. From today until midnight on Sunday, Prime members will be able to access discounts on leading brands and local businesses including small and medium sized Aussie businesses.”

“Prime Day is a celebration of the value Amazon brings to Australians. In one membership Prime allows Aussies to access great savings, convenient delivery, and a huge entertainment offering. If you’re new to Prime, I encourage you to sign up for a 30-day free trial to save big this Prime Day, unlock free and convenient delivery, and much more.”
