Amazon Australia Opens New Logistics Site in Western Sydney's Chullora
25 September 2025 - Amazon Australia today announces the opening of its newest logistics site in Chullora, Western Sydney. This new site will serve as a crucial distribution hub for Amazon packages, enabling faster and more efficient delivery services throughout Sydney while creating operational jobs and flexible work opportunities for local residents.
Opening in time for the upcoming peak shopping season, the Chullora site will enhance Amazon's delivery capabilities in Sydney. The site has the capacity to process up to 50,000 packages daily and represents our continued investment in Amazon's operations network in Western Sydney.
Team members celebrated the opening with a Welcome to Country ceremony performed by local Darug elders, acknowledging the traditional custodians of the land. The arrival of the logistics site provides new work opportunities for the local area in the lead up to the festive period and beyond, with local operational jobs available, as well as provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs to become an Amazon Delivery Service Partner, or for individuals looking for flexible earning opportunities with Amazon’s delivery service Amazon Flex.

This new logistics site is Amazon's 12th operational facility in Australia and joins existing Sydney operations in supporting the greater metropolitan region. Amazon logistics sites power the ‘last mile’ of the order process and help to improve the delivery experience for Amazon customers in the surrounding areas. Packages are shipped to the Chullorah site from Amazon fulfilment centres and are then picked up by Amazon Flex delivery partners and Amazon Delivery Service Partners to be delivered directly to customers.
