SYDNEY – 23 October 2019 – Amazon Australia today announced ‘Subscribe and Save’, a program that enables customers to sign up for scheduled repeat deliveries on products they routinely shop for with the benefit of a 10% discount and free delivery.

Thousands of products are now available as part of ‘Subscribe and Save’ across everyday household essentials including Pantry Food and Drink, Pet Supplies, Vitamins, Supplements and Beauty. Customers can now ‘Subscribe and Save’ on products from much loved brands such as Carman’s, Coca Cola, Fairy, Heinz, Huggies, L’Oreal, Moccona, Omo, Optimum Nutrition, T2 tea and Vegemite.

“Time and money are two of our most precious commodities and ‘Subscribe and Save’ gives Amazon customers a simple way to save on both. We are excited to bring Australian customers a program that is loved by customers around the world,” said Matt Furlong, Country Manager of Amazon Australia. “There is nothing worse than running out of your favourite coffee, washing powder, nappies for your newborn, dog food, or toothpaste, and ‘Subscribe and Save’ will help make this a thing of the past.”

From today, customers will see a ‘Subscribe and Save’ icon appear next to eligible products on Amazon.com.au. Customers do not need to pay any subscription fee but can subscribe to the products they use routinely and choose the frequency they want the product delivered, from 1 to 6 months.

Customers will benefit from an ongoing 10% discount and free delivery after the initial order. The prices on individual items may go up or down between deliveries but subscribers will always get a 10% discount on the price when their ‘Subscribe and Save’ order is ready for shipping. Customers have the flexibility to skip deliveries, change the delivery day or cancel from the ‘Manage your Subscriptions page.’

‘Subscribe and Save’ is one of Amazon’s most popular programs internationally, with customers subscribing to a variety of products including paper towels, toilet roll, laundry powder, shower gel, dishwasher tablets, nappies, infant wipes, snack foods, coffee, cold drinks, pet food, and vitamins. In the UK, US and Canada the most popular categories within the ‘Subscribe and Save’ program are Grocery, Household goods, Pet Supplies and Beauty.

Penina Petersen, Money saving and life hack expert said, “As a mother of two I am always looking for ways to save time and money and Amazon’s ‘Subscribe and Save’ will help me do both. Whether you’re a family, pet owner or student you no longer have to worry about running out of the essentials and you can save hundreds of dollars each year too.”
